PMZ Gas Cap Installation

Transcript: [Music] so alright KBD headquarters and we are gonna show you guys how to do the PM’s ek fuel door installation kit go ahead and remove the gas cap so you guys can see how you remove the OEM one you guys see anything on there that’s a little confusing don’t worry about it we’ll explain later I’ll give the camera to everything over here and we’ll just start like you normally do we’re gonna go ahead and you know pop the gas cap push it if you don’t know how to do that then you should have a z32 anyway so we pop the you know we bought the gas cap we’re gonna need preferably is basically a long screwdriver you need a long screwdriver is if you don’t have a lot of screwdriver it’s gonna be in the way of all these like things that come out on the OEM gas cap so it’s just better if you have a longer one and we’re gonna remove two screws literally just the top one I hear and the lower one here and you’ll probably be seeing this in fast motion this is gonna take me a while all right guys so I’m gonna show you guys what the kit comes with the installation kit for the fuel cap so what we have here is we have an adapter we have this piece here this is actually it goes over the fuel fuel cap just goes in there and then we have the hardware which is a smaller screw and a longer screw first step is basically we’re gonna go ahead and put this right put it right over here and you’re gonna pull it together till you hear like a click boom after you hear that click you’re pretty much set and then we’re gonna go ahead and get the adapter here now we’re gonna set up before we go to the gas cap we’re gonna put the longer side on the bottom screw through here and the shorter screw on the top screw here over here like I said earlier you want to use a longer screw driver and that’s cuz it’s really hard to kind of maneuver around this piece here you see this right here maybe put the screw here kind of gets in the way so you kind of want a longer screw driver so you have more room so you come over here I’m gonna grab the screw driver I’m gonna basically place the screw driver right into the screw itself as you’re guiding it towards the OEM hole the way almost all is here we got one on the bottom one on the top it’s a little tough should get it okay cool so now we’re just gonna try to find the hole there you go I found the hole right there on the bottom I’m gonna slowly screw it in just so we know that we’re not cross threading anything there you go that’s going nice and easy then we go to the top one we go and try to find the hole boom right there again you want to do nice and slowly so you don’t cross thread and you’ll feel it once it’s going in that’s going in go do the top one now we go to the bottom screw it it shouldn’t be too too tough you’re feeling if it’s cross learning and if you did you’re kind of screwed by then okay okay once you get really really close to the end you just want a nice and firm I’m not sure how much pounds you would probably but I don’t even know if Nissan has that specification but if not just just do it so it’s pretty good pretty hand tied I guess you’d say okay cool now once we have bottom screw top screw you can see that this piece here what it does is it pulls out the original gas cap so it lines up with you know the wide part of defender and we installed this once we put it in we heard the click and we’re set now all you gotta do is close it and that is it and it’s open it just like you know any other seat32 if you don’t know where to do it but it’s basically pushing the button once you push the button boom pops right open just like the OEM gas cap and you’re pretty much set
